Bra Fit Calculator – How to Know Your Measurements

Studies have shown that up to 80% of women wear the wrong sized bra. So what’s the real problem here? This is attributed to several reasons; the most common one is not checking your size every time you shop for lingerie. Most women do not know that breasts can change size over time, which is why they simply continue to buy the same size, not realising that it is the cause for their daily discomfort.

Whether you’re choosing an everyday T-Shirt bra, or a special occasion strapless bra, knowing your bra measurements and how to find bras that fit you perfectly and comfortably is the first step.

Make sure you’re wearing the bra correctly by double checking the following steps:

  • Always wear the bra on the middle hook

  • Use the ‘Scoop & Swoop’ method. Bend over so your torso is parallel to the ground and pull the band away from the sides of your breast. With your free hand moving in a back and forth motion, scoop your breast tissue and gently slide it into the cups until it is entirely contained. Stand up, settle your breast in place and repeat on the other side.

  • Now, just adjust the straps so they’re sitting comfortably on your shoulders. Loosening them can reduce any spillage and tightening them can help to eliminate any gaping of the cups.
